Fake funeral home asks people to text and drive

A billboard has gone up in Canada that simply says, "Text and Drive" and it appears to have been paid for by a funeral home.

But once you understand the story behind the billboard, it all makes sense. The "Wathan Funeral Home" is actually a fake funeral home. The billboard is actually a public service announcement created by Canadian ad agency John St. and outdoor ad placement company Cieslok Media, trying to get drivers to put down their phones when behind the wheel. And if you have, you probably came to this website to tell us what horrible people we are for running an ad like that. And you'd be right.

It is a horrible thing for a funeral home to do.

But we're not a funeral home.

We're just trying to get Canadians to stop texting and driving, which is projected to kill more people in Ontario this year than drinking and driving. That's right. More. And while most people wouldn't even think about drinking and driving, over half of Ontario drivers admit to reading texts while behind the wheel. That's more than half of the drivers on the road today risking their lives, their passengers lives and the lives of their fellow motorists and pedestrians.

Which should make you even madder

than our billboard did."

And keep in mind, fake id maker online Ontario isn't the only place where texting and driving is more dangerous than drinking and driving. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, driving while texting is six times more dangerous than driving while intoxicated. The CDC warns that each day in the United States, over 8 people are killed in crashes that involve distracted driving.
